Offshore wind can still be viewed as an up-and-coming power source, but there is no need to start from scratch. The technology and products in an offshore wind farm are well proven and on track to become fully industrialized and cost competitive with all other new sources of electricity. The challenge ahead lies in configuring the most efficient system configurations for each location, while at the same time scale up by re-using standard products to increase volume and drive down costs. We have that knowledge.

Offshore wind farms are by no means independent ecosystems, and close collaboration with the local communities and other users and interest groups in the ocean space is vital. We work together with local authorities, fisheries, other ocean users and interest groups to ensure that the offshore wind farms are developed in a sustainable manner that mitigate impacts while benefiting the local community in an overall positive manner to the point that they feel pride and ownership in the project.
